Samantha has spent her entire life in various foster care facilities. Even with her current foster family, who may adopt her, or the boy who follows her around doing her schoolwork, she never feels like she fits in. So it's understandable that she's perplexed by Olivia, her curious tagalong little sister. Sam abandons Olivia one day, and she wanders off into the woods on her own and vanishes.
