Overview
The Hunger is a television horror anthology series, co-produced by Scott Free Productions, Telescene Film Group Productions and the channel The Movie Network. Though it shares a name with all the feature film The Hunger the series has no direct plot or character relation into the picture, and was made by Jeff Fazio.
Originally shown on the Sci Fi Channel at the US in the UK, The Movie Network in Canada and Showtime, the show is organized into two seasons, and was aired from 1997 to 2000. Each episode was based across an narrative. Each episode was hosted by terence Stamp for its first season, and was replaced at the next season by David Bowie. Stories tended to concentrate on themes of obsession and self destructive appetite, with a component of soft core erotica. Tropes for its stories comprised sex, vampires, cannibalism, and also poison.
