Overview
The Love Boat is a American television series set on a cruise boat, that aired on the ABC Television Network in September 2 4, 1977, before May 24, 1986. The show starred Gavin MacLeod while the ship's captain. It was part of ABC's favorite Saturday night line up which contained Fantasy Island before that show.
The first 1976 picture on which the show was established was itself dependent on the nonfiction novel The Love Boats by Jeraldine Saunders, a cruise manager. Two TV movies would follow before the series began its conduct.
The executive producer for the series was Aaron Spelling, who produced several series for ABC from the 1960s to the 1980s.
In 1997, the episode with department names"Hidden Treasure","Picture from the Past", and"Ace's Salary" was ranked No. 82 on TV Guide's 100 Greatest Episodes of All Time. The Love Boat conducted for 10 seasons.
