Justin McLeod is a teacher who lives like a recluse on the boundary of the town after his face is disfigured from a car accident 10 years earlier, in which there had been a boy incinerated -- and for which he was convicted of manslaughter. Additionally suspected to be a paedophile, he is befriended by Chuck, hostility and inducing the suspicions of town to be sparked.
