Overview
Based on Jo Brand's critically acclaimed book of the exact same name, The More You Ignore Me is just a comedy drama focusing on the life of a royal family in 1980s England that is rural. The film focuses on Gina, a mother, whose efforts to be a husband and her emotional wellbeing that is declining undermines wife. Things deteriorate once she develops an obsession with the weatherman, which contributes to an entry to the clinic that is nearby. Over time, as she grows upher daughter Alice struggles to relate with her mother that is medicated, and causes chaos when she includes a strategy to re connect with her, and which divides the family forever and results in a moving climax. Establish The Smiths' songs, The More You Ignore Me offers a crude, yet funny insight in to life within this particular household, whilst addressing emotional health difficulties and their effect on the familymembers.
