Rory is an enterprising entrepreneur who travels to England with his American wife and children to explore new business prospects. After fleeing their cozy American suburban surroundings, the family is thrust into the gloom of an archaic '80s Britain, where their unaffordable new existence in an English manor estate threatens to destroy them.
