Overview
Alma's family was producing quality olive oil in the Baix Maestrat area of Spain's Castellón for generations. Still pressures in the business have made their own techniques untenable, and also the family is currently in the poultry business that was mass production. The grandfather of alma has not spoken in years. Sadness envelopes himand he wants to eat. His sons--Alma's father and uncle--are all impatient with himbut Alma understands her grandfather. She admits he sold to pay some debts and was occupying for a olive tree which the family has uprooted. (A sadly prevalent reality in Castellón at present.) Unable to bear the thought that her grandfather may die without visiting with this terrible wrong corrected, Alma undertakes a mission to find the tree therefore that her grandfather might have peace in his last days, and return it to the family orchard.
