Small leaguer Carlton Garret takes an unexpected road trip to track down his estranged dad, fabulous baseball player Kyle Garret when Carlton's mom comes to be unwell. As soon as rejoined, Carlton has a hard time to deal with the series of accidents caused by his dad's shenanigans. Efforts at bonding capped as the dissimilar duo make their way from Ohio back house to Houston to reunite the family.
