Nick Pulovski, a veteran cop, is used to playing musical partners; many of his previous partners have died on the job, frequently as a result of Nick's dangerous tactics. However, the rookie assigned to assist Nick in busting a carjacking ring is almost as irascible... and when Nick is abducted, his newcomer companion becomes his only hope.
