Overview
A young doctor taking a break from work is shot in the head, and the cops have no idea why. Inspector Al Gordon (John Alexander) determines that he must assign some personnel to duty at the hospital, one of whom being Fred Rowan (Richard Conte), a detective posing as an intern but with experience as an army physician. Rowan discovers a high-pressure environment in which interns are severely pressed for time, sleep, energy, and – most importantly – money, and must tread a razor-thin line between personal and professional disaster.
