Overview
Filmmaker Matt Cruse's psychological thriller The Watcher Self follows a woman's slide into hell. It was written and directed by Matt Cruse. Cora (Karen French) is confronted with the ramifications of a nightmare as she begins her workday. Afraid of falling out of her pattern, she participates in a series of emotionally disconnected interactions with the weird and evasive Van (Julian Shaw). As Cora's fragile mental state deteriorates due to reverberations from the past, she finds herself increasingly cut off from the world around her. Is she losing her mind or is there something else going on? When the sanity is slowly peeled back, what's left? In The Watcher Self, we explore the possibilities of what might or might not be real.
