Kayla goes back to her hometown of Stansville, North Carolina, after her job as a substitute teacher at an elite, private high school comes to an early end. On her first day back, her mother, who loves her but is also curious, sets up a job interview at the high school she went to. Kayla is hesitant to apply for a competitive program to become a teacher in London.
