Overview
In late spring1890, Vincent goes to live with Dr. Gachet in Auvers-sur-Oise, which is close to Paris. He stays in a simple inn. Less than 70 days later, Vincent kills himself with a gun. We see Vincent painting portraits and landscapes. His brother Theo, his wife Johanna, and their child come to see him in Auvers. Vincent is funny and charming, and Gachet's daughter Marguerite, who is only half his age, a young maid at the inn, a Parisian prostitute named Cathy, and Johanna all like him. Just before he dies, Vincent goes to Paris, where he fights with Theo, talks badly about his own art and accomplishments, dances at a brothel, and goes from being nice to Marguerite to being mean to her.
