The Earnshaws have been Yorkshire farmers throughout the early 19th Century. 1 day, Mr. Earnshaw returns from a visit to the town, bringing together a ragged little boy called Heathcliff. Heathcliff becomes company and soul mate into Hindley's sister, Catherine, although Hindley, earnshaw's son, resents the child. Cathy and Heathcliff grow up liberated and wild to the Moors and despite the continued enmity between Hindley and Heathcliff after her parents die they're happy -- until Cathy meets Edgar Linton, some neighbor's son.
