A teenage witch living in a remote mountain village in Macedonia during the 19th century is responsible for the unintentional death of a peasant. She takes on the form of the peasant in order to get a feel for what it is like to live in her body, which sparks a long-standing desire in her to experience what it is like to live within the bodies of other people.
