Overview
Family Feud is an American game show in which two families compete to name the most popular answers to a questionnaire question. Mark Goodson and Bill Todman created the series in the United States, and now airs in various local formats worldwide.
Since its premiere in 1976, Family Feud has aired during 30 non-consecutive seasons. Richard Dawson in 1976 premiered on ABC and hosted the series until it had been cancelled in 1985, by which point it have been popular on the network and at syndication. CBS in 1988 restored the series using Ray Combs hosting along with enlarged until its cancellation in 1993 to an hour-long arrangement in 1992. Combs hosted on the series that was syndicated until 1994, when Dawson replaced him before being stranded in 1995, for a single season, which also enlarged. Later variants were hosted Richard Karn, by Louie Anderson, along with John O'Hurley. Since the 2010--1-1 tv season, Family Feud was hosted by comedian/actor Steve Harvey.
The show's ratings were believed to have improved under Harvey. Family Feud's evaluations were believed to have improved the 40. During the 2011--1-2 season, the fast-rising game series averaged a 4.0 and became the 5th highest rated series in every of syndication. As of the 2012--13 season, Family Feud has become the second highest rated series. In 2013, TV Guide ranked it in its set of the 60 game shows .
