Overview
Glitter is a American television show broadcast by the ABC network during the 1984-1985 season.
The show was produced by Aaron Spelling and has been put behind the scenes of a top entertainment magazine branded"Glitter" and strove to combine the urgency of humor and business politics with the glamorous lifestyles of the rich and famous featured at the pages of the magazine. The top cast members have been Morgan Brittany David Birney and Arthur Hill.
The series' arrangement was similar to two other ABC shows which were produced by Aaron Spelling. The Love Boat and Hotel it heavily featured visible guest appearances such as Ginger Rogers and Cyd Charisse. Unlike the other show, Glitter wasn't a ratings victory. The first three episodes aired in September 1984, after three more episodes were shown and the series was taken off the air. Ratings didn't improve and the show was cancelled. The remaining eight episodes were shown during December 1985 as a portion of ABCs latenight line up.
Despite its lack of success in the united states, Glitter has been sold abroad. It had been shown in the UK in the summer of 1985 on BBC1.
