Overview
How to Make a gentle man, motivated by the publication of the exact same name, is just a comedy about the friendship between a traditional writer and an unrefined trainer. Andrew Carlson (David Hornsby) is an etiquette columnist whose devotion to ideals from the more civilized period has become a life detached from modern society. Infectiously positive, Bert Lansing (Kevin Dillon) is just a reformed"badboy" from Andrew's past who inherited a fitness center, but can still be rude, sloppy and loud. When Andrew's editor, Jerry (Dave Foley), informs him to put today's, sexy twist onto his column or be terminated , he hires Bert as a lifecoach from the hopes of understanding how to be "gentleman" and much more"real man."
